FUNCTIONAL PILATES

Led by a qualified Sports Therapist, functional Pilates is a method of exercise designed to strengthen and balance the body.
 
Focus of the class is on Pilates movements with a rehabilitation aspect to help build your body from the inside out, improve your posture, engage your core properly, working on flexibility and strength while connecting
with your breath.

Over the years Pilates has become an important component of training, fitness and physical rehabilitation for people of all ages, body shapes and fitness levels.

Small classes of 10 are led by Katy, a fully qualified Sports Therapist with 10 years experience. The areas of focus during a class are to maximise flexibility within joint friendly ranges, improving spinal mobility, scapular stability, training our core stabilising muscles, and challenging our lower limb bio-mechanics to create a whole
body top to toe class that will subsequently improve posture!

 
Classes are currently every Friday
7.30am on zoom (£5)
9.30am in FF Dance Studio, Haverfordwest! (£8)

A pre-paid class fee books your slot, with limited numbers booking early is 
recommended.
 

POSTNATAL PILATES

A specific class designed just for the mums! The approach is gentle, and led by a qualified professional. Rest-assured you will be in safe hands with Katy as these classes will include specific body checks before exercising if needed as well as a throrough in- depth screening questionnaire prior to the course.

With classes of no more than 10, this ensures movements can be monitored closely. You will learn that breath is key, combining this with your core mechanics and pelvic floor!

With these important foundations combined we will integrate the new skills into functional movement preparing you for the everyday demands of life in motherhood in a safe progressive programme. The weak, underused muscles will be built up and the tight over-active muscles released. Pelvic girdle pain, rectus diastasis, pelvic floor dysfunction and lower back pain is amongst many issues this course can help with!

Build your confidence by understanding and having a deeper knowledge of your body on this six week course with take home exercises and tips to ensure optimal form during and after, little ones are welcome to all sessions!

Sessions are held in FF dance studio, Haverfordwest, every Thursday 11am-12pm The six week course is £60 and can be booked via this website.

 Everyone of all ages and abilities welcome…. Just bring your mat, towel, water, a smile and sense of humour!
